Sophie started life in Bristol and has moved around the country, gaining a degree in English in Sheffield and then a Masters in European Classical Acting (or 'pretending' to you and me) from Drama Centre London. She also spent two months in Moscow taking classes that English Health and Safety laws wouldn't allow. They couldn't break her however. She loves acting, writing and being the funny one, so when she auditioned to join The Unexpected Items in 2008, she felt the warm hand of destiny coaxing her forward. Or perhaps it was just the director being mildly inappropriate. Either way, she's never looked back, and in the Items she's found a marvellous new family. Sophie has recently turned her hand to playwrighting, with her first short - 'If I Were You' - being performed at the Old Red Lion as part of the Off Cut Festival 2010, directed by Charlie Henniker. Sophie took her first ever solo show to last year's Festival Fringe in Edinburgh.
